FAO and NAHR Collaborate to Ensure Quality Irrigation Components

In a move reaffirming its commitment to supporting farmers and enhancing agricultural production, the National Humanitarian Development and Response Foundation (NAHR) conducted a thorough inspection of samples of irrigation system components in supplier warehouses. This inspection is part of the FAO's project to strengthen resilience in the irrigation and agriculture sectors, aimed at ensuring that these components meet international standards and guarantee their quality and efficiency.

FAO emphasized the importance of this inspection, noting that agriculture is a cornerstone of sustainable development and that ensuring farmers have access to the best agricultural resources significantly contributes to boosting their production and increasing their resilience to growing climate challenges.

The inspection covered a variety of irrigation system components, including drip irrigation systems, improved water conveyance systems, and greenhouses. Engineers from both the FAO and NAHR were present to meticulously examine the samples and verify their compliance with standard specifications.

These efforts aim to ensure that farmers are provided with the best modern agricultural technologies, contributing to improved water use efficiency, increased agricultural production, and enhanced crop quality. Additionally, these efforts support food security and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
