NFDHR launches a new integrated project in WASH, Education and Ehelter in Al-Bayda and Marib



NFDHR has officially launched the activities of the Integrated Complementary Interventions Project for Water, Environmental Sanitation, Hygiene and Basic Education Services for the Most Vulnerable IDPs and Host Communities implemented in the governorates of Al-Bayda and Marib with support of YHF.

Two workshops were held last week to familiarize local authorities and stakeholders in the targeted areas with the activities and interventions of the project and the implementation stages.

The main project activities in the fields of WASH include the rehabilitation of 3 water projects in the districts of Radman, Al-Sawmaa and Al-Abdiya, building bathrooms, carrying out hygiene campaigns and community awareness sessions on personal hygiene and ways to prevent diseases.

The activities of the Education component include building 13 classrooms and rehabilitating another 75 classrooms in the districts of Al-Bayda and Al-Sawmaa in Al-Bayda governorate and Al-Abdiyyah district in Marib governorate, rehabilitating bathrooms in the targeted schools, in addition to supporting the targeted schools with desks, boards and recreational bags, and supporting ... .. school boys and girls with equipped school bags.

The Shelter activities include distributing Non-Food Shelter Bags (bedding bags and household utensils) to the targeted households.
