NFDHR Provides Health Service to more than 27000 Children in Al-Bayda and Marib

National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) provides primary health care to 27,502 children under age five years in the governorates of Al Bayda and Marib.

NFDHR supervises the operation of 64 health facilities within the framework of the Emergency Response Project for Health and Nutrition Services, implemented in Al-Bayda and Marib, and funded by UNICEF in coordination with public health and population offices.

According to NFDHR health and nutrition program statistics, operating these health facilities contributes to strengthening the health system and helps continue providing a package of primary health care services in the targeted areas.

Statistics also show that 26,816 children under age five years were screened for malnutrition; therefore, 891 children between 6-59 months were enrolled in outpatient care for children with acute malnutrition.

In the immunization program, 3,500 children were vaccinated against fatal childhood diseases, and 5,728 women received reproductive health services.

Furthermore, NFDHR pays monthly financial incentives to health workers in these facilities, along with monthly operating expenses.
