Providing health services to more than 54000 beneficiaries in Rada'a and Al-Arsh districs - Al-Bayda Governorate



  
The National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) provided health services to more than 54,000 beneficiaries in Radaa and Al-Arsh districts - Al-Bayda governorate.
Dr. Abdul Wahab Zaina , NFDHR manager of health and nutrition program , explained that , NFDHR was working during the period from January to October 2019 to support and operate Rada’a inter district hospital and  Al A’rsh district hospital  , by the World Health Organization (WHO) fund and coordination with the health office in Al-Bayda Governorate .
He added that the interventions of NFDHR in the two hospitals aim to strengthen the health system and continue on providing health services to citizens in Rada , Al-Arsh and neighboring districts.
NFDHR has supported the hospitals with medical equipment, and monthly incentives for more than 115 health workers as well as rehabilitation of Al-Arsh hospital, in addition to building the capacity of 72 health workers.
The number of the beneficiaries who were provided with health services, in both hospitals, is 54413 (14772Men, 16298Women, 12153boys, 11190Girls).
Radaa   Hospital provided medical services to 43,311 beneficiaries, including 13,138 men, 13,837 women, 7143 boys and 9193 girls. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology received 4,548 women, and the number of surgeries is 1780, whereas Al-Arsh Hospital served 11,102 (1634 men, 2461 women, 4047 boys and 2960 girls.
