NFDHR Rehabilitattion and handover of 3 Schools in Al-Duraihmi District




Earlier this week, National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR), handed over three schools in Al-Duraihmi district after rehabilitation work had completed. The schools were handed over to the Local Authorities and the Education Office in Al-Hodeidah governorate.
The three schools are Al-Wahda, Mouadh Bin Jabal and Khawla Bint Al-Azwar, which were severely damaged by war and have been closed since 2018.
NFDHR Intervention in Al-Duraihmi comes as part of project to support equal access of displaced children and the host community to education services in Al-Bayda and Al-Hodeidah funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
The project activities in Al-Duraihmi included the rehabilitation of three schools, the construction of three new classrooms, the provision of 400 school seats and 12 boards, the construction of 10 new classrooms in Na'aman and Natea districts, the rehabilitation of 13 classrooms, support of 300 double seats and 46 boards, and the construction and rehabilitation of 15 bathrooms in the targeted schools
