20 health workers trained on counseling and nutrition for infants and young children in Hajja
 
National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) held training last week in Hajja on infant and young child feeding (IYCF), funded by  Humanitarian Fund for Yemen (YHF).
The training, held from 19 to 24 August, aimed to train 20 female health workers at health facilities targeted by NFDHR in Kuaedina district as part of project activities "providing integrated responses to food security, agriculture, health, nutrition, and WASH for affected displaced persons and host community in Kuaedina and Muftah districts in Hajja governorate.
The trainees will provide individual counseling on infant and young child feeding to caregivers of children and pregnant and lactating women in all nutrition sites targeted in the project; in addition to educating mothers and pregnant women on the best practices of child nutrition, personal hygiene, counseling and good nutrition practices for infants and young children.
