Opening of 15 water projects and launch of 10 new projects in Al-Zuhra and Al-Qanawes, Al-Hodeida




The Secretary-General of SCMCHA, Abdulmohsen Al-Tawoos, the Governor of Al-Hodeida, Muhammad Qahm, and the Executive Director of NFDHR, Engineer Muhammad Salah, inaugurated 15 water projects in Al-Zuhra and Al-Qanawes, in Al-Hodeidah governorate, including 6 tower water tanks, each with a capacity of 30 cubic meters, supported with solar pumping systems.

 Beneficiaries of Food Security and Agriculture Project include 1450 families (10,150 individuals in 15 villages) in the two targeted districts.

The water projects cost 255,300,000 Yemeni riyals, funded by BMZ under the supervision of the International Hope Vision Organization.

Al-Tawoos, Qahm and Salah also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated work on 10 new water projects in 10 new villages in the two districts, at a cost of 158,700,000 Yemeni riyals, to be implemented in 2022, and will benefit 1030 families with more than 7,210 individuals.

 The activities of the Food Security and Agriculture Project include supporting beneficiaries with agricultural production inputs and improving livelihoods, including honey bee hives, poultry, goats, fodder, tools and agricultural requirements.
