Strengthening cooperation to address food security challenges

NAHR Participates in a Workshop to Evaluate the Performance of the Food Security Cluster



The National Humanitarian Development and Response Foundation (NAHR), represented by Dr. Safaa Saleh, participated in a two-day workshop held in Aden City. This workshop was part of the follow-up activities for the Food Security and Agriculture Coordination Cluster (CCPM) performance monitoring for the year 2023.

Organized by the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster, the workshop aimed to evaluate the annual performance of the cluster in Yemen and enhance cooperation and coordination among various stakeholders in the field. Participants included representatives from civil society organizations, food security cluster partners, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries.

The workshop discussed a range of critical issues related to food security in Yemen, including the evaluation of achievements made over the past year and the identification of challenges facing the sector. The workshop also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination among various actors in the field to ensure effective aid delivery. Furthermore, it developed future work plans aimed at improving the food situation for citizens through the implementation of relevant projects and programs.

Dr. Safaa Saleh, representing NAHR, stated that this workshop is part of the foundation's commitment to strengthening partnerships and cooperation with various stakeholders in the field of food security. She highlighted that food security is a top priority for the foundation and that it will continue its efforts to support farmers and improve the food situation in Yemen.
