NFDHR Launches Cash-for-Work Activities in Al-Muftah District in Hajja



National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) launched  Monday (September 4) cash-for-work activities in Al-Muftah district in Hajja Governorate as part of Project "Providing Integrated Responses to Food Security, Agriculture, Health, Nutrition, and WASH for IDPs and Host Community in Kuaedina District and Al-Muftah", funded by Yemen Humanitarian.
 
Cash-for-work activities aim to engage the community in the development process and development of community assets, involving 619 most vulnerable and poor families not included in WFP food assistance project.
 
Beneficiaries will work on rehabitating a number of sites in return for daily wages to improve food security and basic services for targeted families.
 
The works include the rehabilitation and paving of the Bab Al-Muhr market, the construction of supporting walls, maintenance and expansion of a number of roads in Al-Jawhala, Al-Shebak, Bab Hawsan, Bani al-Shemakh and Al-Qazaa, in addition to the construction of walls to protect agricultural land from flooding in Wadi Hawsan.
