Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water briefed on NFDHR interventions in Sa



Deputy Prime Minister of Services and Development Affairs, Hasan Al-Maqboli, Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Abdul-Raqib Al-Sharamani, Deputy Minister of Water and Environment Haneen Al-Dreeb, and Chairman of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects Adel Shattan, were briefed on the projects and interventions of National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) in Saada Governorate in the field of water and environmental sanitation, education, health, and management of IDPs camps.
During the visit to Harba water project in the district of Sahar, Maqboli listened to an explanation from NFDHR Executive Director, Eng. Mohamed Salah, and Programs Manager, Eng. Khaled Al-Othmani, about NFDHR interventions in the governorate since 2017, as it implemented 12 water projects in the districts of Sahar and AsSafra, with the provision of solar-powered pumping systems, in addition to 3 rainwater harvesting tanks and a water barrier in Haidan District. NFDHR built 18 classrooms, established two health units, and rehabilitated 20 health facilities; in addition to training 140 IDPs on livelihood skills in construction, electricity, wall painting, agriculture, sewing and plumbing.
