Medicine and Medical Equipment  and Nutrition Project



 
National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) delivered, last week, quantities of medications and medical supplies to the targeted health facilities in the districts of Khairan Al-Muharraq and Aslam in Hajjah Governorate, as well as Beit Al-Faqih and Al-Jarrahi in Al-Hodeidah Governorate.

NFDHR aims to support and operate two clinics in the gathering locations of IDPs in the sub-districts of eastern and western Al-Khamisin in Khairan district, and four health units in Aslam district, namely; Al-Delouhi Unit, Al-Araja, Bani Hadaya and Jabal Aslam. This is in addition to the rural hospital in Al-Jarrahi district, and Myah Health Unit in Beit Al-Faqih district; within the activities of the Health and Nutrition project funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).

More than 92 kinds of medicine have been distributed, covering basic needs of the targeted health facilities for a period of two months. NFDHR will also support the facilities with incentives for health workers until the end of the project next year.

In addition to medications, targeted health facilities received simple medical equipment to enable them operate, beside receiving monthly operating expenses to cover their monthly needs, allowing them operate and offer primary health care services to beneficiaries in the targeted areas
