Executive Director reviews training IDPs on livelihood skills in Saada



 
Executive Director of National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR), Eng. Mohamed Salah, was briefed on the activities of Camp Management Support Project implemented in Al-Safra and Sahar districts in Saada Governorate.
 
During his visit, Eng. Salah assured the IDPs that the currently conducted training will help them develop livelihood skills and raise their competence, in addition to the positive impact it will have on their families and their communities.
 
 NFDHR, in cooperation with the Office of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Saada Governorate, trains 140 displaced people on the skills of building, plumbing, painting, sewing, agriculture and carpentry.
 
 
Executive Director stressed the importance of the training program to qualify the targeted IDPs and build their capabilities to equip them with skills and professions needed by the labor market, and in turn will help them improve their living standard and self-reliance when they finish the training program by the end of December.
 
 
Similarly, Mr. Salah clarified that NFDHR will provide capacity-building kits for the displaced, containing all the supplies and equipment needed for their future work, such as sewing machines for women.
 
 
NFDHR is currently implementing a camp management support project through capacity building activities and simple maintenance for IDPs in the districts of Al-Safra and Sahar in Saada governorate, with funding from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and in coordination with the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Respons
