Implementation of 400 health awareness sessions during a month in Walad Rabi district, Al-Bayda Governorate



Community health volunteers of the National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) carried out 400 community awareness sessions in Walad Rabi district in Al-Bayda governorate last October.
The implementation of awareness sessions is one of (Cholera Emergency Response in Wald Rabi district of Al Bayda Governorate) project‘s activities which are funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
The aim of the awareness sessions is to raise the level of awareness among beneficiaries in Walad Rabi district, where number of cholera cases were recorded.
Community health volunteers provide health messages about cholera prevention, proper hand washing and the importance of good sanitation.
According to the statistics of the project, the number of beneficiaries until 31 of October is 17053 (2524 Men, 2900 women, 6051 Boys , 5578 Girls ).
